Cameron did about as well as I had expected- i.e. NOT looking at the camera, NOT smiling, NOT closing his mouth- LOL. It's a good thing he's cute to make up for his unwillingness to be photographed.

Last weekend my dad bought a jeep truck on Ebay. He was planning on driving his Ford Taurus up to Raton, NM, just south of the Colorado border with Daniel and Richard and driving a caravan home.
About an hour after he told me of this plan, the same day he was going to leave it occurred to me that I should have offered him my suburban and a tow bar I have to tow it back, then it wouldn't take two drivers at all times. Then I realized April might need a break from Cameron, and I wouldn't mind a little road trip so I offered to take the RV and tow bar, which we did.
We left at about 5:30 on Friday evening and got home at about 2am Sunday morning. We were not driving for approximately 6 of the 32 hours on this trip. We had fun and even Cameron managed to get some sleep while the RV was moving.
At one stop for gas in Gallup on the way to Raton Daniel woke up as we were pulling onto a bumpy road and asked "Are we off-roading?" About two hours later I woke him so he could take a shift driving soon. I mentioned his off-roading comment and he didn't even remember saying it!
When we saw the jeep, I noticed that some brackets on the winch bumper looked similar to the mounts we would need to install to put the tow-bar on and sure enough, they fit perfectly. We just had to clip it on and put the transfer case in neutral. The jeep tracked straight and the RV pdulled it pretty well.
A lot of that part of New Mexico is flat plains with lots of wind. The wind made it a real challenge to keep the RV in the lane. This was partly because the wind affected the jeep and RV differently so the jeep would sometimes amplify the corrections of the driver. Daniel didn't get to drive home because of these challenges, but he managed to get enough sleep not to mind, I think.
Here is a picture of the RV with the jeep at my house on Sunday morning.

27 Weeks!!
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I remember with Cameron I knew exactly what was happening at each stage in the pregnancy. I can barely remember how far along I am this time around- I think that might have something to do with having a toddler to keep me busy. I took a belly pic- and WOW! Ryan has assured me that I was much bigger by the time I had Cameron. Sweet.
Short torso + Big babies = Gigantic Belly!!

Flowers and More...
Cameron and I made cookies to take to some people yesterday and well my Easter... erhm... Valentine's cookies turned out pretty good. Despite the fact that I had to use yellow food coloring for my frosting. Ryan also brought home two dozen red roses. I guess there are perks to delivering flowers! Thanks for being a fantabulous guy Rya!!!

Happy Valentines Day!
Cameron and I are going to be making and delivering cookies today. We should have a lot of fun! Ryan is delivering flowers today. So he should get to see a TON of smiling faces- which is so much better than a frowning face. LOL! We did a mini-V-day shoot yesterday and Cameron wasn't really having it. Big surprise there- but he still looked cute so I decided to make an e-card anyway. Here it is:

A little something he learned from his Gramps in ID- and it's now one of his favorite games.

Bath-time fun
During Cameron's bath tonight I decided it was a good time to practice using my flash. I figure I should know how to use it in case I ever HAVE to use it- LOL! Cameron gets to stay in longer and I get to take pictures. Everyone wins. This kid has become a master at ignoring the camera. I was hooting and hollering and he would not look up! Here are some I liked the best.

Boys and their toys
More Practice for Me
It has been really nice here so I've been dragging Cameron outside every day. More for me than him. I make sure that we go in the late afternoon so that I can get some good light for pictures. And I get my exercise chasing Cameron and trying to get him to look at the camera. Here are some of the cuter ones from this past week.
In this picture I was trying a different "view" and I had to bribe Cameron to lay down. I told him if he would lay down and look at my camera we could blow bubbles. LOL!
We were outside today and Ryan thought it would be cool to take a picture from a certain angle- so I did. Pretty neat.

Playing Basketball
Cameron LOVES to go outside. All day long he is trying to get on his shoes because he knows that is a requirement for going out. He's also saying "side, side" all day long. He especially likes it because he gets to play with the basketball hoop that Grams and Gramps got him for Christmas. He expected me to pick him up every time so that he could put it right in- which is NOT happening. So Ryan put a chair next to it so he could reach it easier. He has so much fun playing outside. Here are some recent pics of him playing.
